I graduated
from Oklahoma State University in 1994 with a B.S in Engineering.
From 1994 to
1997 I ran a software business writing multiplayer games for online Bulletin
Board Systems (BBS's). After the World Wide Web became such a success and
BBS’s started disappearing, I closed down my business and began hiring out my
programming skills.
From 1997-2001,
I worked as a software engineer for various companies in the Dallas area.
During this same time I pursued my passion for photography
when I wasn't working and attempted to balance work and photography.
In the spring of 2001 I decided to take a chance and
start my own business and began consulting with OrderPicture.com to help combine my passion
for photography and software development skills.
Now I am able to spend more time with my family and still be pushing the envelope of technology.
While working with OrderPicture.com I was able to pursue my
own commercial photography. I've shot for numerous organizations and
individuals. I have also been fortunate enough to have my work
featured on a couple magazine covers, in commercial catalogs, wrapped on
landscaping trucks, and of course used in marketing materials and on the
web.
In October 2002 my wife and I welcomed our first child,
Alyssa, into this world. December of 2004 brought us our second child,
Sammy. Now I have new photo subjects that haven't
quite figured out how to say no yet... Of course I have precious little
time too.
